For local area residents who are beyond the limited range of DSL or Cable Modems, Nortex now offers high speed Internet service using licensed wireless spectrum (also known as fixed wireless). 

With wireless broadband, your computer is connected to our wireless modem. Then, the modem is connected to a wireless antenna that points back at our tower. Many customers will actually be close enough that an external antenna may not be necessary.

Our wireless service is based on Near Line of Sight (NLOS) technology. This means a direct shot is not necessary. Plus obstacles like trees and buildings are not necessarily a problem.  (Heavily wooded areas may cause interference)

Another great feature of our service is that it is a "licensed" service. Nortex purchased access to our own spectrum within the local area through the FCC. Therefore, our customers enjoy a private network clear of interference issues and not shared with other service providers.
